Step 1: Go ahead and drop the steering wheel to the lowest position and back. Step 2: Grab a hold on the little piece underneath the gauge cluster and pull back it. Step 3: Remove two T-25 torque screws holding gauge clusters in place. Step 4: Remove the gauge cluster. You will get the cluster disconnected from one single plug.

There are 4 screws holding the cluster in place, remove these and swing the cluster round. The white connector on the back has a black locking lever (it's difficult to see how this works). Pull the lever away from the direction of the cables, over the little block. As this moves it will help push the connecor free.

If you look straight at the LCD display of the trip computer, you only see the black boxes or fill, like the self diagnostic calls it. If you look at it from an angle, you actually see the units and stuff displayed. So in other words, it works perfectly, but you can only read of it from an angle.
